No Boogers On My Sleeve

Have you ever been around others and needed to sneeze or cough? If so you probably followed the current trend to sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm, or if you could grab a tissue.

Have you ever backed off from shaking someone’s hand either because you weren’t quite sure about your health status or noticed the other person seemed to be sniffling or coughing?

Did you do these things because society says you should? Did you do these things because someone in your life taught them to you? Did you do these things because you saw the ads on tv during flu season telling you they were the best way to avoid getting sick? Or maybe all of the above and you actually care about others!

So why are you refusing to wear a mask (face covering)?

I don’t wear mine because I love it. I don’t wear mine because I think it is stylish (though I suppose I could make it so). I don’t wear it because I am making a political statement or should I say agree with one branch or another.

Yes that is right, I wear something that is uber uncomfortable, causes pimples, and makes is hard to breath because I just don’t know. I don’t know if I carry the virus but don’t have symptoms. I don’t know if you are carrying the virus and don’t have symptoms. I don’t know what you do for a living, and if you need to be safe so you can help others. I don’t know if your immune system has been compromised. I wear my mask because I care about humans no matter who they are, where they come from, what they believe, what their politics are; it has nothing to do with any of that it is just about CARING.

So no I don’t have boogers on my sleeve, they are inside my mask!
